Get Active in Darebin this Spring
Get Active in Darebin is a FREE community-based exercise program aimed at increasing the physical activity and wellbeing levels of Darebin residents, as well as engaging under-represented groups into physical activity.
Darebin Community Sports Stadium and Narrandjeri Stadium in partnership with the City of Darebin encourages everyone to get active – so if you’re on a tight budget and are looking for free exercise options – come and join our FREE Walking Group, Hula Hooping, Walking Basketball, Pickleball, Table Tennis, Come-N-Try Tennis, Cardio Tennis, Social Badminton & Roller Skating programs with Get Active in Spring!
Most activities are catered for people of all ages, abilities and fitness levels, and facilitated by qualified instructors and coaches. Bring your own water, towels and a mat (if required) and join in on the fun – just register below so we know how many of you are coming to each activity!

Pickleball is the NEW racquet sport taking the world by storm. Join us at Darebin Community Sport’s Stadium (DCSS) to try it out for yourself. If you enjoy Badminton, Tennis and/ or Table Tennis then you’ll love this. We provide all the equipment you need so bring along a friend for a hit or make new friends on court. No experience needed.

FREE Come-N-Try Tennis
Tennis is a great way to stay fit and enjoy the Spring sunshine. Come along and meet new people and/ or have some fun with family and friends during our social afternoon of tennis on our outdoor courts. All you need is a racquet, tennis ball and yourself.
FREE Walking Group
Our walking group creates a safe space off the roads and out of the weather for people to keep fit this Spring whilst also socializing and connecting as a community. Prams are welcome too! Come along and walk as many or as little laps of our indoor basketball courts as you like, and feel free to finish up in our café for a nice hot or cold drink after.
FREE Cardio Tennis
Join our music-fuelled group workout on court. Cardio Tennis burns calories, increases your fitness, improves your game and most importantly is loads of fun. Hit the court with like-minded people and serve up some groovy moves that’ll be sure to get your heart pumping.
FREE Social Badminton
Enjoy a casual hit with some friends or join in a round-robin of friendly games with other local Badminton enthusiasts. All equipment is provided (or you can bring your own). No experience needed.
FREE Roller Skating
Darebin Community Sports Stadium (DCSS) offers a safe, indoor space, protected from weather for local roller skaters to stay active this Spring. We welcome skaters of all ages and abilities to DCSS where the music will be pumping for some fun freestyle skating. No experience needed. (BYO Skates).
