Get Active in Darebin this Autumn

Get Active in Darebin is a FREE community-based exercise program aimed at increasing the physical activity and wellbeing levels of Darebin residents, as well as engaging under-represented groups into physical activity.

Darebin Community Sports Stadium and Narrandjeri Stadium in partnership with the City of Darebin encourages everyone to get active – so if you’re on a tight budget and are looking for free exercise options – come and join our FREE programs with Get Active in Summer!

Most activities are catered for people of all ages, abilities and fitness levels, and facilitated by qualified instructors and coaches. Bring your own water, towels and a mat (if required) and join in on the fun – just register below so we know how many of you are coming to each activity!

Walking Basketball

Enjoy low-impact fitness with indoor Walking Basketball! Improve your coordination, stability and balance in a fun, supportive session. Finish with a social game and a cuppa. Perfect for adults of all ages and abilities.

A gentle, indoor version of soccer where everyone walks instead of runs.

QSA Reformer Pilates

New to Reformer Pilates? If you’ve never tried Reformer Pilates before, this is a great opportunity to have a go and see if it’s for you. You’ll be guided through basic reformer exercises & learn how to use the machine safely. These beginner classes teach the basics in a safer, supportive space in collaboration with Queer Sporting Alliance.

Boccia

An inclusive version of lawn bowls/bocce – boccia is designed for people with physical disabilities – open to everyone to enjoy. Played indoors while seated in wheelchairs, players throw, kick, or use a ramp to propel the leather red or blue balls as close as possible to the white ‘jack’ target ball.

A welcoming, non-competitive recreational program designed for females of all ages and abilities to enjoy tennis in a friendly, community-oriented environment.
